16.  Blend: Mix
  • Properties menu >> Texture >> Influence
  • Blend:  Mix
17.  UV Unwrap the Plane 
  • 3D View >> Select Plane
  • 3D View menu >> Mode box >> Edit Mode
     
  • 3D View menu >> Select >> Select/Deselect All
     
  • 3D View menu >> Mesh >> UV Unwrap >> Reset
Note:
  • Because this is a Plane with one Face, we can UV Unwrap it using Reset
18. UV Map to Image
  • UV/Image Editor menu >> Select >> Select/Deselect All
  • UV/Image Editor menu >> Image List >> Animate_CandleFlame.png
     
  • UV/Image Editor menu >> Active UV Map >> Candle_Flame_UV
Note:
  • The Image we are animating is actually 10 image frames joined together.  It consists of 2 rows and 5 columns
     
  • UV Map the Plane to the whole image.  All 10 frames.  Not just the first
     
  • Rotate as needed
