Baking Normal Maps -- High to Low Polygon Models

13.  Low polygon model: Select All
  • 3D View >> Select low polygon model
  • 3D View menu >> Mode box >> Edit Mode
  • 3D View menu >> Select >> (De)select All
  • The next step is to UV Unwrap the low polygon model
  • Edit Mode will let us use the UV/Image Editor to select which UV Map we want to use
14.  UV/Image Editor: Select LowPoly_UV
  • UV/Image Editor menu >> UV Map box >> LowPoly_UV
15. Create a New Image
  • UV/Image Editor >> New >> New Image
  • We'll be baking the low polygon model UV Map to this new image
