Skydome

7.  Delete the bottom vertices of the skydome
  • Deselect all vertices: 3D View menu >> Select >> (De)select
     
  • 3D View menu >> Select >> Border Select
     
  • Mouse Select Button --  Drag pointer >> select all bottom vertices
     
  • 3D View menu >> Mesh >> Delete >> Vertices
8.  Add a UV Map
  • Properties menu >> Object Data >> UV Maps >> Plus (+) button
Note:
  • Later on, we will be UV Unwrapping the skydome
     
  • This UV Map will be used to hold the data needed to correctly position the sky texture on the skydome
9.  Give the UV Map a unique name
  • Properties menu >> Object Data >> UV Maps
     
  • Double Click to rename

  • I'm naming it SkyDome_UV
