7.  Give the UV Map a unique name
  • Properties menu >> Object Data button

  • UV Maps tab >> Name: UV_Stencil

  • I am naming my UV Map UV_Stencil
8.  Add or Select a material 
  • Properties menu >> Material button >> New
  • Textures are placed on Materials.  No Materials.  No Textures.
9.  Add a new Texture Channel
  • Properties menu >> Texture button

  • Select an empty Texture slot >> New

  • We are going to be using 3 texture channels

  • The first texture channel holds the top texture

  • The second texture channel holds the stencil

  • The third texture channel holds the bottom texture
