
6. Set the new scene Engine: Blender Game
- Info menu >> Render Engine box >> Blender Game
Note:
- There are menus that are only available when the Blender Game render engine is selected.

7. Give the new scene a unique name
- Info Menu >> Scene box >> Type unique name
Note:
- For this tutorial, I am naming the new scene HUD (Heads Up Display)

8. Add a camera to the new scene
- 3D View menu >> Add >> Camera
Note:
- The overlay scene must have camera

8. Position Camera
- Camera selected
- Properties menu >> Object button >> Transform tab
- Position: X = 0.0, Y = 0.0, Z = 2.0
- Rotation: X = 0.0, Y = 0.0, Z = 0.0
Note:
- It doesn't matter where you position the camera as long as the weapon reticle is place in front of it.

10. Add a plane to the new scene
- 3D View menu >> Add >> Mesh >> Plane
Note:
- The plane will display the image used as the weapon reticle
