
11. Position plane in front of the camera
- Plane selected
- Properties menu >> Object button >> Transform tab
- Position: X = 0.0, Y = 0.0, Z = 0.0
- Rotation: X = 0.0, Y = 0.0, Z = 0.0
Note:
- The Camera is looking straight down at position X = 0.0, Y = 0.0, Z = 0.0.

12. Add a material to the plane
- Properties menu >> Material button >> Add

13. Enable the Shadeless checkbox
- Properties menu >> Material button >> Shading tab >> Shadeless checkbox
Note:
- There isn't a light in the HUD scene
- Set the material to Shadeless so the Weapon Reticle will be visible

14. Add a texture channel to the material
- Properties menu >> Texture button
- Select an empty Texture Channel >> New

15. Give the texture channel a unique name
- Properties menu >> Texture button >> Name >> unique name

- For this tutorial I am naming it Reticle
